“I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me.” [Exodus 20:5]
Precious friend, child of the Most High God today you will discover the great value of YOU - part III. Be encouraged in your walk with God for encouragement comes from knowing and understanding the ways of the Lord. Many people do not bother to study their ways much less their Creator’s. Calamities strike, people die from cancers and strange diseases. Families fall apart, children go the wrong way there is pain and suffering, but is that a sign of God’s visitation? Why would God say, ‘I visit the iniquities of the fathers to the third and forth generations upon those that hate me?’ Hurtful sins produce painful memories, which the woman of Zarephath dealt with (1 Kings 17). In the midst of severe famine she meets a man of God, her last meager portions of flour and oil were then miraculously multiplied. But suddenly her son dies and the woman speaks these remarkable words. “What do I have to do with you, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my iniquity to remembrance and to put my son to death!” Just as it was the case with the death of David’s first son from Bathsheba, which served as a reminder of his sin, here we see that death of children was being attributed to parents’ sins. Elijah took her son and cried to the Lord and then her son came to life. 24Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth.” We do not know the rest of the story whether the widow had repented or not of her past iniquities, but what we do know is her last statement, “now I know”. She saw her provisions multiplied through the prophetic word of the man of God so that all could live and only now she recognizes who Elijah was? Clearly, it shows the fact that her past sins stole her simple humility that recognizes God and His choice. Only when the One who puts to death and makes alive (Deut. 32:39) struck her son and brought him back to life she managed to say these words, ‘now I know’. When God comes to visit our iniquities He does not come with the angel of death, but with a reminder that He is about to bless you, He is about to love you and have a more intimate relationship with you; ‘He wants to marry you’ and become one spirit with you. But He is holy and any un-repented for sins hinder this process of oneness. He visits those He loves with MIRACLES. Yeshua said in Luke 10 13“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago… Either way, when one deals with the supernatural, one also deals with His visitation for these two come together. For that very purpose He calls, chooses and anoints ministers. Through them He educates His sons and daughters and comes to change the present course in their life. Only through repentance (Hebrew SHUV - turning back) one is able to undo any wrongs, and the walk with Yeshua becomes truly brotherly. God does not come to torment or nag or keep on reminding us of our evil ways, He comes to solidify a closer walk with Him and fill your relationship with the miraculous. He wants to bless you and on top of it all He still wants to bless you some more and show you still a much greater dimension of His love for you. But why is it so hard to give up the pride of life, which is only defined with just the material in whatever form? It is indeed easy and light the moment the crossover is complete, and it takes but a moment of time. A contrite heart He will not despise. (Psalm 51:17) The moment a man of God comes to your life, the miraculous comes also. Many times I had to shake the dust off my feet and go some place else or was compelled by the Lord to bless the household with the supernatural. I have never cursed anyone and never will. I am under a covenant, which I am not able to break. I have crossed over to His side and no matter what my personal feelings about those that have wounded me might be I am on this earth to bless and channel the divine. It does not take a great mathematician to add up 2+2=4 so God said to Elijah, “go to Zarephath and see a widow.” First tell her to fix you a cake THEN NATURALLY the meal will keep on giving and her oil will keep on flowing until the first day of harvest. God’s laws of sustenance are synchronized with the law of need. The Zarephath woman obeyed, she signed a contract with the Lord, and He being the covenant–keeping God, had to produce a miracle. Now, let’s do the mathematics. Add the two miracles of multiplication to the death and resurrection of her son (the reminder of her sin) it spells out a visit. Since the All-Knowing God is the visitor first He wants to clean up the house for He is about to reside therein. Tares and field have nothing to do with our Heavenly Father for the tare, like a parasite, seeks to rob the grain of its vitality and the field serves as the neutral host for both. So where does God’s visitation take place? And if so then His sons and daughters must grow and mature until the harvest day when He takes the sickle and cuts both, tares and wheat. But then He separates these two, one is burnt up while the other is being gathered into His storehouse. These are the laws of the kingdom. If He visits you and you right now hear His voice you are not a tare nor field, but His seed. By knowing the truth it will be easier for you to walk with Him, according to His laws. Do not hold on to a religion that makes no sense anymore. Become His intelligent child and walk in His ways by grace. Your heavenly Father wants to find room in your house and reside therein permanently, everything else is immaterial, what matters is the living fellowship with Him. Amen. » Previous |
