Sequential Logic in Creation
The Use of Logic
Chapter 1
In study, one will find this logic very useful for in 2Samuels 24:1 we read about God's anger, which provoked David to take the national census of Israel; but 1Chronicles 21:1 narrates the same account by blaming Satan who as if totally of his own accord had incited David. A student of the word must choose one over the other or both if his or her understanding has reached a certain level.
One can easily correct any discrepancy with yet a greater knowledge for one is familiar with time in which these two books were written; both books of Samuel are pre-Babylonian, and the two books of Chronicles are post-Babylonian.
One must study Israel's history of exile and its consequences in terms of altered beliefs and the creation of theology itself for until the Babylonian exile Israel had no theology of any sort. The Jewish worship was centralized at Jerusalem and those that remained joined to the Lord were the Jews (Judeans) while the northern tribes of Israel had already then been dispersed by the Assyrians and lost their original identity.
It is obvious that Jewish systems of beliefs emerged in Babylon, most certainly with the help of the popular in those days Persian philosopher Zoroaster. These beliefs passed through the Greek Empire thus further impairing the monotheistic Jewish mind through Greek mythological ideas and then expressed itself in the Roman-controlled Palestine. As the writings about God's dealings with Israel and Judah were being compiled and made into the Biblical Cannon these writings were named by the Jews as Tannah; and by Christians as the Old Testament. With the emergence and spread of Christianity the Gospels and letters of the Apostles the compilers named the New Testament. There were numerous discussions about the Old and the New Testaments and whether the Old Testament should be even included in the Christian Bible.
Voices like those calling for exclusion of the Tannah from the Christian Bible in order to make Christianity into a totally new, even unrelated to the Jews religion, were very powerful and convincing; nonetheless the Almighty had prevailed and both testaments became the present day cannon.
One must also recognize the reality that without the Old Testament Christianity would not only have been deprived of logic, which had its origins in the first chapter of Genesis, but would also deprive itself of the correct understanding of the Gospels. Many expressions of Jesus and those of His disciples stem from the Jewish language and culture; anyone desirous enough to go deeper into the meanings of His words, (for example: the allegory Jesus gave concerning a rich man and the eye of the needle) inevitably would have to delve into the Jewish Tannah.
Today, the Catholic Bible includes books, which the Protestants considered to be apocryphal (fictional); the Eastern Orthodox Church also has books not included in the Protestant Bible. The Book of John's Revelations was excluded from the biblical cannon for as long as five hundred years. Divisions amongst Christians most likely gave Muhammad an idea to make a bible of his own, which he called the Koran, and one religion, which he called Islam. But, as is the case today, Islam although written by one man only, is severely fragmented and the Koran is being twisted to suit a group's beliefs.
The Qumran discoveries yielded more information about mysticism and point to the fact that it was the Essenes that had laid the groundwork for Jewish mysticism. With the spread of Christianity and Gnosticism the fantastic theology of fallen angels, giants and dragons became a very popular literature of that time. Later on, the Jewish Kabala and the Christian Book of Revelations ran concurrently thus further exciting the thriller-like starved mind. The straight truth was not prized and adhered to for it ceased to be entertaining enough; it became much easier to interpret something that had no hands and feet, somethimng that hanged suspend in thin air. Eventually many returned to Jewish orthodoxy and strict adherence to the Torah (the five books of Moses).
Many false prophets, teachers and messiahs emerged just to satisfy the longed-for imaginations-seductive-tale mind. This thriller-starved, sponge-like mind survived until this very day and only few seek wisdom and have ears to hear; the majority, however, chases after the incredible.
Jesus sometimes said: He who has ears to hear then let him hear. Or He said: those that can accept this statement let them accept it; or He asked questions without explanations; how can Satan cast out Satan? By leaving these questions unanswered He must have had done it on purpose for when Pilate asked Him, what is truth? - This question went also unanswered.
Not many have ears to hear nor are they able to accept spiritual truths simply because their ears are already filled with the addictive fantastic 'wax' and their minds are busy sorting out mysteries just to impress others.
(Note: the author will also produce fantasy charged books, totally unrelated to the truth purely for entertainment purposes. The author recognizes the fact that the God-given imaginations are meant to be enjoyed. From time to time one must depart from serious studies and get silly for in such a state one will find relief from stress, happiness and mental balance)
The Bible often uses allegory, termed by the physical mind as abstract. What the carnal mind calls something an abstract can be perceived by another as the pure spirit of truth, for truth does not appear and then disappear, but remains forever. Only a lie pretends to be the truth so it appears, but then it must give way to the truth, so it disappears, but then we call it an illusion. Unfortunately, squandered time cannot be recovered for the younger minds absorb knowledge much faster than the old ones.
(Ecclesiastes 12:1) Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them
Another useful hint for logical study is this: take Scriptures with understanding without fear of being in error, for in this way you will give room to the Holy Spirit to teach and reveal. The expression of 'false teaching' comes from man's control over his or her follower, yet we are not followers of man's dogmas; the intelligence of the Holy Spirit is our guide.
2Peter 2:1says: But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Plainly, the author of 2Peter alludes to the past and through it warns us of the same taking place in the future; but there were false prophets... there shall be false teachers... Who are the false teachers? Those that lead you away from the knowledge of the heavenly Father, those that lead you astray from the way of righteousness are the false prophets and false teachers for they seduce and mislead.
By pointing the student in the right direction, one fulfills the great commission: (Matthew 28:19) Go in the entire world and make disciples. By giving the Holy Spirit, a place and room to work in He then takes that space and He Himself teaches you. (Luke 12:12) For the Holy Spirit will teach you? (John 14:26) But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
A teacher of the new is sometimes accused of being a false teacher when that which he teaches differs from something one has learnt already. First, one must examine if this accusation holds water for if this teacher attempts to sway people away from following the Lord by using trick philosophy or cast a shadow of doubt on God's sovereignty and omniscience then that is falsehood. In other words, an agnostic will try to make disciples of the same.
(Ephesians 4:14) be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
The opposite also holds a test of its own; if someone teaches something new in order to reveal the obscured by man's dogma picture then one must not hesitate to follow it for this very act shows your hunger to know Him in truth and not according to some out-of-date dogma.
(Matthew 5:6) Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.
(1John 2:27) But because of the anointing, which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for any man to teach you: because of His anointing He teaches you all things, and He is the truth,( He is true) and not a lie, and even as He has taught so abide in Him.
I have not paraphrased the above verse, but am reading it the way it was originally written by God's Spirit.
1John 2:27 is rooted in Isaiah 61:1: The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me (WHY?) because he has anointed me to...
One should use the background information to understand discrepancies in text, which stem from insufficient knowledge of the Old Testament, which serves as the blueprint and the launching pad for the new.
One must understand the anointing in the context of the original meaning. The anointing oil was used to mark kings, prophets and priests and this mark served as a visible appointment for an office and choice; because of the appointment to a public office one had to be empowered.
Unlike the offices of the world Israel was God's chosen people ruled by laws that came down from above. The rule over Israel had to be divine and it is for that very reason the Holy Spirit endowed God's anointed; not to enjoy the prestige of a high office, but to rule God's people with Divine intelligence.
(Background information about letters of John) The letters of John came to us severely damaged. The compilers had to use their corporate knowledge of scripture to put these fragments together in a logical manner. Nonetheless, they compiled something that praises the IT rather then the HIM.
According to the Old Testament, the anointing cannot teach for it is just a mark. In the New Testament, which uses Greek, the word CHRIO comes to play a more significant role. From CHRIO we have Christ ? the Anointed One. MASHIAH is the Hebrew word for Messiah ? the anointed one and its root is SHEMEN ? oil; anointed to save, anointed to proclaim freedom, to heal, to cleanse etc. Because of this anointing, the Son of David (Christ) had the fullness of the Spirit of which the Old Testament speaks.
(1Sam 16:13) Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward; so Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.
After Samuel had anointed David he left the boy alone and went to Ramah; but why? Did David not need care and help in his spiritual development? The prophet left him alone to deal with the problems he was about to face for David was not alone; but was it because of the anointing he received or rather because of the Holy Spirit who was with David to guide and teach him all things? It says that the Holy Spirit never departed from David the comforter and teacher was always with the king and prophet. You have no need for any man to teach you: because of His anointing, He (THE HOLY SPIRIT) teaches you all things?
Because of the TRINITY doctrine introduced to us by the Catholic Church where the Holy Spirit represents the third person of the Trinity it is taken id if it is the Holy Spirit that anoints. In this stream of thought we combine the two verses of Isaiah 61:1 and Acts 10:38 and get an alternate meaning-the anointing OF the Holy Spirit. But if we study the original meaning of the anointing we see a different picture. The sons of Aaron were anointed, Samuel anointed Saul and later he also anointed David and AFTER the ceremony of anointment God the Spirit affected the people through the anointed one whether his office was priestly, prophetic or kingly.
2Kings 9:3 "Then take the flask of oil and pour it on his head and say, 'Thus says the Lord," I have anointed you king over Israel." Elisha the prophet had sent one of his disciples to Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat to anoint him king of Israel, but he had to do it secretly. After he spoke these words: 'Thus says the Lord, ?I have anointed you king over Israel?' he fled. But the fact remains the same, the zeal of Jehu and his tremendous success in destroying Israel's idolatries proves that it was the work of God's Spirit.
A man pours oil on Jehu and says that it is the Lord YHVH that does it and that through this act appoints him the next king of Israel. BECAUSE of this secret mark of God's choice the anointed one received power to execute God's holy wrath. Obviously it was not the anointing of the Holy Spirit, but rather that the Holy Spirit clung to the anointed one the chosen for that purpose man.
After the job was done the Holy Spirit departed from Jehu, the zeal of God lifted and Jehu became again an ordinary man except for his kingly office, which he held for 28 years. Nonetheless, God's favor continued on Jehu's descendants down to the fourth generations. (2Kings 10:30-31) And the Lord said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in executing what is right in My eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in My heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel."
But Jehu 'lost his anointing'? Is that so? On the contrary, Jehu remained the anointed king therefore the anointing remained on him down to his grave, but it was the Holy Spirit who departed because Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel sin. If it was the anointing OF the Holy Spirit, as we call it today, then both would have remained on Jehu till this very end, yet it is obvious that these two have parted, the anointed king (and his anointing) descended into the grave and the Holy Spirit ascended back to the place from which He was initially sent.
According to this logic Acts 10:38 'how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power' should be read with the complete understanding: the Anointed One was full of the Holy Spirit and power.
Just as Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to... should be understood in the same way: The Lord YHVH had anointed Jesus for this purpose: (Luke 4:18) ...Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. In order to accomplish it the Holy Spirit was upon Jesus.
John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth: for he will not speak on His own initiative; but whatever He hears, He will speak: and He will disclose to you what is to come.
Within the contextual flow of scriptures, the Holy Spirit took all loose fragments and arranged them for you in a logical and clear manner just so that He might bring you closer to God's oneness. Embrace this logic and enjoy a much richer and more fruitful life.
The seed of God will embrace this knowledge and will pursue it, but the contentious will reject it and the controlling one will call it a heresy; in both cases we see the vanity of man's pride that hates to bend its neck to something higher then the self.
The seed of God breaks forth through all oppositions and celebrates victory while a grain of sand, which pretends to be the seed, compromises and embraces just the popular, for this grain of sand loves the control of masses and why not? Masses bring fame and financial gain with which comes the earthly power. Yet there is the real power, but found in the secret place of the Almighty.
The decision to embark on a journey up towards the victor's peak is yours; the journey is yours; the overcoming and triumph is also yours until we meet at that exalted place, there we shall celebrate our victory the purpose for which we came into this world.
(1Peter 1:23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
(1John 3:9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
